Violet Foster is a principal character on Melrose Place (2009), portrayed by Ashlee Simpson.
Character[]
Violet Foster is the biological daughter of Sydney Andrews, who gave her up for adoption when she was born. She was introduced as the newest tenant at 4616 Melrose Place, and initially appears to be a mild-mannered small-town girl.
Melrose Place 2.0[]
Though Sydney denies their connection at first, she later embraces Violet as her daughter. Upon learning of Sydney's death, Violet sets out to get revenge. Initially suspecting Michael Mancini of killing Sydney, she sleeps with him, videotapes it, and uses the video to blackmail him. She also has a very intimate relationship with recovering alcoholic and fellow tenant, Auggie Kirkpatrick. When Michael's wife, Vanessa, becomes a suspect in the Sydney case, she visits Violet's apartment looking for her son Noah, who's temporarily in Violet's care. Vanessa pulls a gun on Violet, resulting in a struggle that threw both women into the complex's pool. Violet then drowns Vanessa, but Amanda Woodward convinces the police that it was in self-defence.
The following day, Violet decides to leave town with Auggie to develop their relationship. A picture of her mom, Sydney, was her last item she packed away in her bag. She was last seen riding off on a highway on Auggie's motorcycle with him.
Trivia[]
- In the fourth episode, when the detectives question her concerning her occupation, they assume that she may be an actress or singer, which Simpson is in real life.
