Drew moves into Auggie Kirkpatrick's old apartment after Auggie leaves town. He was a medical student, focusing on hematology, at ULA Medical Center with Lauren Yung and Michael Mancini. Drew is also in a band.
Story[]
After moving into the apartment Drew immediately clashes with Lauren, who complains he plays his guitar too loudly, early in the morning. He is a different kind of med student in that he focuses on bedside manner a lot and tried to use his sense of humor to lighten the mood in most situations. Lauren doesn't appreciate his sense of humor, however, and constantly voices her disdain for him to anyone who will listen.
Drew briefly dates Riley Richmond after her breakup with Jonah Miller. He discovers the lost piece of art that Sydney Andrews was hiding from Amanda Woodward hidden in his closet, remnants of Auggie's residency. When patients begin dying at the hospital, Drew discovers that the heart valve invented by Michael Mancini is leaking toxins in the patient's bloodstream. Drew is determined to put a stop to the heart valve, since he had received the heart valve during an operation himself. After confronting Michael about the valve, Michael has Drew framed for stealing oxycodone by planting it in his locker.
